“Dutton is an adorable lad who needs to continue his training on how to be the perfect boy. He lacked socialization as a puppy so he’s a bit behind with that. However, he is doing really well with learning how to sit/stay/leash walking and his recall. He is a very intelligent dog that needs guidance but he’s also a tester. Give him an inch and he will take a mile. Dutton will be your ultimate companion, always by your side, ready for any adventure. When it’s time for a nap he also supports that decision but the nap is even better if his favorite toy gets to come with him. He loves to snuggle and has the best sit you could ask for.”

About Dutton
Dutton has made his way onto the available page, and his search for a forever family is on! Dutton was surrendered to FBRN when his previous owner experienced life changes. This handsome boy hopes to hit the jackpot with his lucky forever family, and we’re happy to help!
We’re happy to report that Dutton likes kids, cats, other dogs, and everyone he meets! When it comes to children, they should be older since Dutton is extremely high energy and can be quite the rambunctious little man. When it comes to other dogs; it doesn’t matter if they are bigger, smaller, male, or female. Dutton loves them all. Cats are alright too!
As mentioned, Dutton has extremely high energy and loves to be a busy bee. He needs his exercise and would be the perfect hiking or travelling companion, weather permitting. Dutton would also likely excel at agility. In true puppy fashion, Dutton likes to be busy all the time, and he can be mischievous. He is more of a dominant personality who wants to try and be in control of the house. At the end of the day though, you will get a cuddle bug to snuggle and chill with while you watch Netflix.
Dutton loves the country life and being outside and able to explore. His forever family must have a fenced in yard, as he likes to dart and can be extremely hard to catch if he gets out. Dutton is crate trained and housebroken. However, he gets anxious in his crate and does better when he’s not crated. Dutton also has some separation anxiety which can cause accidents in the house at times. His foster family has noted that his separation anxiety decreases when he is able to be with other dogs.
This boy is adorable when he suckles on his favorite toys or his fleece blanket. Dutton has a favorite stuffed horse, but he loves all toys and especially chew toys. His favorite chew toys are Yak chews and Nylabones. Dutton would do well in any home that has prior Frenchie experience. Children in the home should be older and having another dog would certainly help his separation anxiety. Dutton could do well with someone that went to work for a while during the day as long as he had a mid-day break. He’d also love it if his person worked from home. While he hasn’t had any office experience, we think Dutton would easily adjust to accompanying his person to their office.
Dutton’s foster mom had this to say about him: “Dutton is an adorable lad who needs to continue his training on how to be the perfect boy.
If you think that your home is the right fit for Dutton, all you need to do is click the link to apply for him. Then get ready to travel should you be selected to be his forever home! FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
