“Eggnog reminds me of a sweet, insecure little girl who puts up a tough face. She is a smart, curious, funny, playful girl who is anxious about new environments and people, and who wants to be understood. Once she feels comfortable, safe and loved with an established routine and strong guidance, she will give you all her sweetness and love. She loves to hear she is a ‘good girl’ and responds well to positive reinforcements. She has been learning very quickly to become a better mannered lady and I have a full faith that she will find a perfect forever family! LOVE YOU heaps little girl!”

About Eggnog
Eggnog has a bite history. She has exhibited anxiety and trust issues in new environments and with unfamiliar people. Eggnog is a resource guarder and must never be around small children. She must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. Eggnog will require continued training to address her triggers and would benefit from obedience training. A slow intro is required if there are other dogs in the home.
Story
She’s smart, silly, sassy, sensitive, stubborn and independent and she’s made it to the available page! Like her namesake, Eggnog is a beautiful mixture of sweet and spicy and she’s ready to find her forever home! Could that be yours?
Eggnog was surrendered due to her resource guarding with food. She’s a sensitive girl who tends to become anxious in new environments. While she was still not quite settled in from the stress of transitioning to her foster home, she accidentally bit her foster dad while playing tug-o-war. For this reason, Eggnog will not be placed in a home with small children. Since that time, she has made great progress with her obedience training. Eggnog is now able to play safely with her toys without guarding but she will require an owner who is a strong pack leader. Her person must also have the time needed to provide the consistency in training that Eggnog needs to continue to improve her behavior.
Eggnog is super smart and wants nothing more than to please her humans. She responds well to clear communication, and will learn to follow your routine and sit and wait for your commands. She even understands a few human words but thankfully has not learned to spell them yet!
In terms of activity level, Eggnog is your typical Frenchie, enjoying a brisk walk or game of soccer with her beloved ball, destroying a favorite squeaky, or even romping around in the snow! After all of this she’s happy crash on your lap or snuggle on the sofa.
Eggnog’s ideal home is adult-only or a family with older dog-savvy children, preferably in a suburban neighborhood with a yard. Experienced dog owners are a must and Frenchie experience is a big plus. While Eggnog may not do well accompanying you to the office, she would love to spend the day working from home, or more likely napping in her favorite spot next to the desk while you work!
Here’s what her foster mom has to say, “Eggnog reminds me of a sweet, insecure little girl who puts up a tough face. Does Eggnog sound like your perfect companion? If so fill out an application and plan a visit to New England. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations and we do not set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

Eggnog, your description reminds me of my Charlee and brought a smile to my face after a rough few days. This donation is in memory of Charlee (??/2011-02/06/2021) who could have been Eggnog’s older twin sister 🙂
