“She would do great in a family with kids that are dog savvy. She gets along with all animals, cats and dogs…I think she would do great if she had another dog with her. The most important thing for her in [a forever family] is one that has time to give her the snuggles & love that she desires each and every day.”

Story
From stray to superstar, Fable has made it to the available page! This four-year-old chocolate Frenchie proves time and time again that she is a true heroine, ready to find her forever family.
Once unable to move her back legs, Fable was diagnosed with a syndrome (MUE) that can cause paralysis. However, since being in FBRN care, she has made incredible progress and now even enjoys zoomies in her foster family’s backyard. To keep MUE at bay, she will need to continue on a specific medication for life. Speaking of backyards, Fable would thrive in a space of her own just so that she can take life at her own pace. Walks are fun, but can be exhausting for Frenchies. Fable would also enjoy a house with little to no stairs. She is both crate & potty trained, but wears a diaper during bedtime or when left alone for 3+ hours due to the nature of her diagnosis. However, if Fable is kept on a schedule, she does great!
Fable’s foster mom has this to say, “she would do great in a family with kids that are dog savvy. She gets along with all animals, cats and dogs…I think she would do great if she had another dog with her. The most important thing for her in [a forever family] is one that has time to give her the snuggles & love that she desires each and every day.”
Due to Fable being a big fan of schedules, she would love to be with someone who either works from home or is only gone a few hours out of the day. Fable also enjoys playing tug of war, chewing on her bones, or just cuddling up with her human.
Fable’s foster mom would also like everyone to know that, “Fable has a heart full of love and a spirit full of play. Her sweet and cuddly nature will warm your heart, while her playful antics will keep you entertained. She’s a Velcro dog who loves to be your shadow… She’s a pro at high fives and a champion of tug of war, promising endless fun and companionship. Fable is not just a pet or a foster, she’s a friend, confidante, and loyal companion that will be by your side in good times and bad. Every home deserves a loyal friend and every heart deserves a Fable. One look into her eyes and your heart is sure to melt.”
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
