Story
Gorgeous Farren is ready to find the perfect forever home! Farren is looking for an active family that wants to bring her along on all of their adventures. She loves to go for walks and play all day long. If you are looking for a friendly, active Frenchie, then keep reading. Farren could be the one for you!
Farren is one of the most active French bulldogs that her foster family has ever met. She is in great shape and in great health. She is also a happy girl who LOVES attention from her favorite people. Farren’s favorite things to do include: playing with other dogs or humans, beach trips, hikes, and long neighborhood walks. She loves water such as sprinklers, garden hoses, lakes, rivers, ocean and ice cubes. In fact, her favorite treats are chicken flavored ice cubes.
Farren is fit and breathes well, which is great since she requires a lot of activity so she doesn’t become bored and destructive. She is reported to have destroyed things in her previous home when she got bored or did not have enough exercise. She has not done so in her foster home, but is getting tons of exercise and stimulation. Farren is a super smart girl and is learning her manners while in foster care. Her new family will need to continue with this training so she knows who the boss is. If left to her own devices she will try to be the queen bee of the household!
Farren is completely potty trained. She has a dog door in her foster home but does not always have access to it and has never had an accident. She is crate trained but prefers not to be in a crate. She knows a few commands and is picking up on others very quickly. She is fantastic on a leash.
The ideal home for Farren would have another active and playful dog and more than one human. She would love a family who includes their dogs in family activities. This would allow her the attention she deserves. Farren loves children and will do well with a family that has dog savvy children ages 10 and older. Farren’s new home should have a fenced yard for her to run around and get her zoomies on. She also likes to sleep with her human in their bed, but only when given permission. She is currently living with five other dogs and is doing well with all of them. Farren would be a great dog to bring with you to the office; however she would do best with someone who is home most of the day. When her new family is out, she will need a dog walker to give her mid-day potty breaks.
Farren’s foster mom has this to share about her, “Farren came from a loving home who made the difficult decision to let her go to a family that can keep up with her. It was quite a sacrifice, so that is exactly the family she will get.”
If you would like to adopt Farren, be prepared to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area. Since Farren is too large to fly in a plane, her new family should be prepared to drive and pick her up. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
