Story
Searching for a gentle giant of a dog to complete your life? Search no more, because our beautiful Gage has made his way to the available page.
Gage is a lovable, laid-back dude with a wonderful personality. He enjoys going on walks, laying in the sunshine, playing with toys and being close to his humans. His easy-going nature is truly endearing and his big soulful eyes will make you swoon. Gage may be a big boy at 37 pounds, but his foster mom has sent him to the gym and now he has a perfect Frenchie waistline. This might not be surprising, but he is highly motivated by treats. He is a loving, gentle hippo of a Frenchie!
This five-and-a-half-year-old gentleman has perfect manners and would be ideal to take to the office, but would also love having someone home with him all day. He is a big boy, so his future family must be able to pick him up, especially to take him in and out of a vehicle. Older children would be ok, but due to his quiet nature, young children may overwhelm this gentle giant.
He gets along well with other dogs his size, shows no signs of aggression towards toys or food and would love a canine companion. However, his compatibility with cats is unknown. Gage loves his toys. He even goes on walks with a toy in his mouth! It would be a perfect fit for his future home to have a fenced-in yard for playtime. And don’t try to box this boy in, he HATES a crate! To keep him happy and stimulated, Gage would benefit from car rides, a nice game of fetch, hide and seek and any other stimulating activities.
Due to allergies, Gage requires some special care, but pretty standard for a Frenchie! He eats a poultry-free diet, gets his paws wiped after being outside, and enjoys a nice spa foot soak once a week. He is prone to ear infections so those beautiful bat ears should be closely monitored. He doesn’t shy away from healthy foods, and loves pumpkin and fresh blueberries!
Overall, Gage would be a wonderful addition to a home that can provide him with love, attention, and a stimulating lifestyle. Gage’s foster mom has this to say about him, “Gage has really touched my heart. He is so loveable and such a gentleman. He just wants toys, love and attention. To me he has been a perfect foster and would make a great addition to the right family”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Gage is too large to fly, so prospective owners should be prepared to drive in and swoop him up.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
