“Geneva has come so far from the scared, sick and skinny puppy we rescued. She is beautiful, playful and loving. She will be the perfect dog for an adult looking for a completely devoted companion. All Geneva wants is to be with her human 24×7. I think where she came from she never received love and attention and can’t get enough now!”

About Geneva
Geneva has a bite history. She is a resource guarder so must never be around small children. Geneva must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. She will require continued training to address her triggers and would benefit from obedience training. A slow intro is required if there are other dogs in the home.
Geneva had an ovariohysterectomy on 12.09.2020. She has several allergies and must remain on regular Cytopoint shots, her current diet, and have regular medicated baths. She is housebroken, but has an occasional accident in the house.
Story
The adorable Geneva has made her debut on the available page. Geneva came to FBRN after she was surrendered by a commercial breeder. Once she was in the care of FBRN, she was whisked off to the emergency vet and had an emergency spay the next day. Geneva has a lot of love to give her forever family and we’re thrilled to be able to help her find them.
Geneva is what we call a Velcro Frenchie – she prefers to be stuck to her human all the time! She prefers human company to canine companions, which is not to say that she doesn’t enjoy her canine companions. Geneva is still very much a puppy and has the energy to romp with the other dogs in her foster home. Geneva loves playing and she especially enjoys her Nylabones and stuffies. However, she is also content snuggling and snoring on the couch. She is happiest when she can be doing whatever her person is doing!
Geneva is crate trained and housebroken, but like most Frenchies, she needs some encouragement when it is raining out. She is not food aggressive, but she does resource guard when she has something in her mouth. She will growl if the item is taken away. Geneva actually nipped the toddler in her foster home when he attempted to get his crayon back. For this reason, any children in Geneva’s forever home must be older and dog savvy.
Because Geneva hates being left alone, having someone who is able to be home with her all day would be ideal. The type of home isn’t important and a fenced yard isn’t required. The most important thing for Geneva is to have a person who is as devoted to her as she is to them! Geneva hasn’t had the opportunity to accompany her person to the office, but we think she would adjust well to being an office companion.
Her foster mom had this to say about her: “Geneva has come so far from the scared, sick and skinny puppy we rescued. She is beautiful, playful and loving. She will be the perfect dog for an adult looking for a completely devoted companion. All Geneva wants is to be with her human 24×7. I think where she came from she never received love and attention and can’t get enough now!”
If you think that you have the perfect place for Geneva to call home, all you need to do is fill out an application for her. After that just be ready to pick her up, should you be selected. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
