“I get teary-eyed thinking about how much love Gigi girl has to offer, in just a short stay with us she’s taken over all of our hearts! She is the sweetest Velcro girl who will thrive with someone who can return just as much love and attention to her as she has to give the world. She’s also not short on spunk or quirks. Small but mighty, she’s rarely fearful of anyone or anything and knows how to get the party started. Her stamina is low though, and after about 10 minutes of hard play, you can find her passed out cold in full snores and her cheek flapping up and down with each hollowed breath. She is the self-elected “mayor” of our backyard, always keeping a watchful eye out the back fence with an occasional snooze in the sun. She will thrive in a home where she can be offered some structure and patience to learn, while she doesn’t have a huge foundation of training she is a great listener. If you are looking for a dog that will spend their days gazing out the window or following you around (all while stirring up a little mischief) then she’s your gal!”

Story
Hang onto your hats, Gigi is ready to find her forever family! Gigi is a sweet, two-year-old, black-masked fawn beauty who was surrendered to FBRN after her parents went through a divorce and no longer had the time to properly care for her. Not to fear, her perfect family is out there waiting for her!
For such a little lady, Gigi’s got a lot going on! She has severe allergies and must remain on regular medication, supplements, and regular medicated baths. She is also prone to ear infections, so her family will need to keep her ears clean and keep a close eye out for any signs of infection.
Despite her health concerns, Gigi is the life of the party! Her foster mom coined her the “Major Mischief Maker” as it seems she’s always up to something. Gigi loves to play and get rambunctious with the resident dogs and children. She’ll run like crazy for ten minutes and then need hours of deep sleep to recharge.
When not playing, Gigi likes to stick to her humans and can get jealous when other dogs get attention. Her foster family is working to correct this behavior and luckily Gigi seems to enjoy learning! She is crate trained though prefers to sleep on the dog bed next to her humans.
Some of her favorite toys include mini tennis balls, squeaky toys, and chew toys. Gigi loves to be outside and having access to a fenced-in yard would be preferred.
Gigi’s ideal home would be one with lots of love to give. She would enjoy a busy home where multiple people could give her the attention she deserves. She loves dogs but cannot be around small animals and cats due to her high prey drive. Gigi would do best in a family where someone could be around frequently to reinforce potty training. She would do fine in an office setting and is great in the car.
Foster mom has this to say “I get teary-eyed thinking about how much love Gigi girl has to offer, in just a short stay with us she’s taken over all of our hearts! If Gigi is the gal for you, please submit your application and tell us why. Gigi cannot wait to meet her forever family! However, if you are selected, please be prepared to travel to Central Texas to pick up this sweet girl. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
