Story
Drumroll, please… Introducing Glacier! This sparkly snowflake is a one-year-old merle beauty who’s as sweet as she is stunning. Rescued alongside her littermates from a commercial breeding operation, Glacier is now ready to leave that chilly past behind her.
But don’t let her icy name fool you – this Glacier is pure warmth. A playful, affectionate, and utterly charming pup, she’s been stealing hearts left and right since arriving in foster care. Glacier is a total lovebug who adores her humans and lives for snuggles, playtime, and affection. Her foster mom lovingly calls her “G” or “GiGi,” and describes her as a happy, bouncy Velcro pup who is equal parts shadow and sunshine.
Glacier is still very much a puppy and is soaking up training like a sponge. She’s already mastered “sit” and “leave it,” and is making great progress with potty training. Like most pups, she may regress a little when transitioning to a new home, but with patience and consistency, she’ll be back on track in no time.
Her absolute favorite thing? Toys – especially balls! Watching Glacier discover a toy stash was like watching a kid on Christmas morning. She doesn’t quite grasp the concept of fetch yet, but chasing balls around is one of her greatest joys. This little girl has some serious playtime energy and will thrive in a home that can keep up with her zoomies and zest for fun.
Glacier does well in her crate when her people are away, but if you’re home, she’d much rather be where the action is, right by your side. She’s working on leash manners and has limited walking stamina right now (about 30 minutes), but she enjoys sniffy strolls and yard exploration. Socially, Glacier gets along well with other dogs and has lived with Frenchies and an English Bulldog. She’s learning to respect food boundaries and would do best with tolerant canine siblings. She hasn’t met any cats or young kids, so for that reason kitties are unfortunately a no and slow introductions are recommended if kids are in the home. She can be a bit vocal and finds busy, noisy environments overwhelming so a quieter, suburban or rural home would be ideal. A fenced yard is preferred (but not required) as long as she’s always supervised and secure.
Glacier’s foster mom has this to say about her, “G, or GiGi, is a happy, playful, Velcro girl that is sure to brighten anyone and everyone’s day! She is very much a puppy and will thrive with someone who can embrace her learning curves and continue her training. She is my shadow and needs that connection. Personal space doesn’t exist!”
Car rides? Glacier gets carsick on longer trips but does okay for up to an hour unmedicated. So if you’re coming from farther away, a little travel prep might be in order! This little lady will thrive in a home where she can be someone’s constant companion. Whether you’re a seasoned Frenchie lover or a first-time bulldog parent, if you’re ready to commit to her training, her love of life, and her need for connection, Glacier might just be your perfect match.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
