According to Hondo’s foster mom, it is important there is either a low window or something he can climb onto to look outside. Hondo loves a good cuddle and to be close to his people. If the offer to sleep in bed were extended, Hondo would have his “yes” RSVP in the mail ASAP!

Story
He’s the hunk you’ve been waiting for to hit the available page — here’s Hondo! When Hondo’s former owners realized they were unable to keep up with his medical expenses they made the difficult decision to surrender him to FBRN.
While this five-year-old is handsome as can be, he’s also an itchy guy! Hondo takes Apoquel and other medications to try and keep his allergies and skin issues under control. Hondo also eats a special diet that should be continued in his forever home, and he should be bathed regularly as well.
In Hondo’s foster home, he lives with other dogs and enjoys spending time with them. He loves his people and is always eager to be with them. Hondo’s foster mom thinks he would love a home with older kids, but a home with cats won’t be in Hondo’s future.
Like many Frenchies, Hondo wants to be involved in everything! He would love to accompany his family on outings and take in the sights and sounds of his surroundings. When his harness comes out, Hondo knows an adventure awaits him!
When he’s not out and about, Hondo loves to gaze out the window. According to Hondo’s foster mom, it is important there is either a low window or something he can climb onto to look outside. Hondo loves a good cuddle and to be close to his people. If the offer to sleep in bed were extended, Hondo would have his “yes” RSVP in the mail ASAP!
Hondo could be a candidate to bring into your office, but he tends to bark at new people. Once he gets to know his new co-workers, we’re sure he’ll be leading all the water cooler conversations! While Hondo would love someone home all day to dote on him, he would be okay with someone coming for midday walks and potty breaks. Hondo is okay alone in the house for 4 to 5 hours at a time. Hondo is an adaptable guy who would be happy in any home where he is loved. He would definitely enjoy a yard to roam around in and preference will be given to applicants with secure outdoor areas.
If you’re head over heels for Hondo, send in your application and prepare for a trip to the Sooner State! Because Hondo is a small guy, he’s able to travel on an airplane. Hondo would also be happy to hit the open road and drive to his happily ever after. Whether by air or land, as long as Hondo is curled up next to his person, he’s good to go!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
