Story
Because she arrived in FBRN care from a commercial breeding facility, Jazz can be a bit skittish around new people. She loves the 10-year-old human in her foster home and we think she’d do great with dog savvy children in her forever home. Jazz adores her foster fur-brother and would love a forever home with another canine pal. It’s unknown how she would do around cats, so for the safety of our feline friends, we must say no to potential adopters who have cats.
While her potty training might be considered a work in progress, Jazz is doing great with the current routine in her foster home. She loves her crate if she needs to be crated, but while foster mom is away at work, Jazz stays in her very own room where she is accident free during the work day. When left out to roam the whole house, she has been known to pee on the rug! Her forever family should be patient and willing to continue working with her to ensure her continued success.
Jazz has a vision impairment in one eye, but is otherwise a healthy and happy girl. She loves to play and rough house with her foster Frenchie brother. This girl also loves her Nylabones and enjoys her walks. However, she will only do part of her business on a leash and should have a fenced in yard to roam around in and find the perfect spot for the second part. Jazz can get spooked easily when roaming outside and must have a securely fenced yard in her forever home. She also doesn’t know any commands, so if you were to call after her in a situation with no fence or leash she would likely run like Forest Gump.
Jazz could do well in any type of home. She’s very adaptable! She would even be great for first time Frenchie owners as long as they are patient and understanding. Jazz does fine with stairs and doesn’t have any health problems other than her vision. Jazz is in love with her Frenchie foster brother and would really thrive in a forever home with another canine companion. As long as you’re able to take her out for frequent potty breaks or keep her contained in a smaller area, we think Jazz would adapt well to accompanying her person to the office.
If you’re planning for Jazz to accompany you on a car trip, you might want to have some Trazadone on hand. This girl has anxiety in the car and has gotten sick while on a road trip. The medicine works wonders to make the trip event free for both you and Jazz.
Jazz’s foster mom had this to say about her: “Jazz is a super sweet dog. She still needs some time to learn how to be a pet as before she was only ever momma to puppies. She’s so happy all of the time. I want to see her live the rest of her life with love and a nice yard to run and play in.”
If you think that Jazz will fit into your life perfectly, all you need to do is fill out an application to adopt. Once you do that, just be ready to pick her up from West Virginia should you be selected as her forever home.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
