“Jessie did not start her beginning years inside a home, and despite her being timid, she is a sweet dog. She enjoys being with people but lying in her own space. Jessie is a great dog who is quiet and not demanding. She deserves someone who is patient and willing to work on her trust issues.”

Story
FBRN’s brindle baby, Jessie, is ready to find her forever home! Jessie is a sweet, three-year-old, brindle lady who was surrendered from a commercial breeding facility. After some time in foster care, we’ve discovered that she’s a low-energy sweetheart who will stick to her humans like glue once she feels comfortable. At first, she is very timid, shy, and unsure; so her foster family will need to be prepared to give her some time to adjust to her new setting.
Jessie’s favorite thing is snuggling on her dog bed and chewing her Nylabones. She is a very low-maintenance dog who is content hanging out by herself. She also gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home and would do best with similarly-sized, calmer dogs in her forever home. A quieter home would be the best environment for Jessie.
There was an incident in a previous home where Jessie nipped at a small child. She will not be placed in a forever home with children younger than 10 years old. However, older children who understand her need to feel safe and give her room to adjust to new situations would be great.
Jessie is still working on her house training skills. She does great when she’s kept on a schedule, but she does not signal to go out when she needs to go. Therefore, a home with someone who is available during the day or a regular dog walker is a must for sweet Jessie! Alternately, we think Jessie could adjust to a quiet office environment. We know she’d be happy to be with her human!
Her foster mom has this to say, “Jessie did not start her beginning years inside a home, and despite her being timid, she is a sweet dog. She enjoys being with people but lying in her own space. Jessie is a great dog who is quiet and not demanding. She deserves someone who is patient and willing to work on her trust issues.”
If you think Jessie is the perfect fit for your family, please submit your application and tell us why! FBRN cannot thank you enough and Jessie will be thrilled to meet her forever family! FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
