“Kenai is a very active Frenchie that loves to be the dominant character in the house. She loves the car and just wants to be with you at all times. She is happiest chewing a bone next to you on the couch or curled up like a cat waiting for you to come back into the room.”

Story
Looking for a loyal sidekick who’s always down for a road trip, a romp in the yard, or a cuddle on the couch? Meet Kenai, the true-blue bestie you never knew you needed! This spunky girl is all about action—whether that’s wrestling with her doggy pals (chairs may be collateral damage), hanging with the kiddos, or expertly positioning herself under the dinner table for optimal snack-catching opportunities. And unlike most Frenchies, she can clock some serious miles on a walk!
Kenai is happy to be your one and only, but she’d also do well with another non-dominant dog who respects her queen bee status. She’s got opinions, and she’s not afraid to share them! A fenced yard would be great for potty training and zoomies, but as long as she gets plenty of exercise, she could adjust to leash life just fine. Speaking of potty training—she’s almost got it down, but if you’re not paying attention when she heads to the door… well, let’s just say surprises aren’t always fun! Kenai is crate trained and willingly go in with a couple of treats.
Now, let’s talk about Kenai’s diva side. She struggles with resource guarding, so she’ll need a home with dog-savvy older kids who know to respect her space. Meal times? She eats separately and does not appreciate uninvited dinner guests. Chew time? She may growl a bit to set boundaries, but her foster sibling doesn’t take the hint and steals her bone anyway (rude). She also has some allergies, so sticking to her special diet and meds is a must to keep her feeling her best.
Kenai’s foster mom has this to say about her, “Kenai is a very active Frenchie that loves to be the dominant character in the house. She loves the car and just wants to be with you at all times. She is happiest chewing a bone next to you on the couch or curled up like a cat waiting for you to come back into the room.”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Kenai loves car rides, so buckle up for a road trip!
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
