Here’s a big welcome for Kimchi as he debuts on the available page! This handsome pied boy found himself in FBRN care when his previous owner experienced an unforeseen personal health situation. Kimchi is ready to find his forever person, and we know that perfect person is out there for him!

Kimchi loves his human. His human is definitely his favorite thing. That and food. Food ranks a solid second! Coming in third would probably be sniffing and chasing everything while hanging out in the backyard. When it comes to children, Kimchi doesn’t have much experience. He plays very rough and wouldn’t be a good match for a family with youngsters. Kimchi has a high prey drive and should not be in a home with cats.

Kimchi isn’t the happiest when he has to share a toy or food. He also has a more anxious personality and startles very easily. He lives with dogs in his foster home and tolerates it, but even his foster fur-siblings still unintentionally startle him often. We think Kimchi would really thrive in a nice calm household as an only pet. Kimchi is house trained and crate trained, but he’s not the best on leash. He tends to bark and charge towards whatever catches his interest. His bark can sound a little intimidating but he really just wants to play. A fenced yard is a really important feature for Kimchi to have in his forever home while he works on his leash manners.

Ideally, Kimchi’s forever person will live in a quieter home where Kimchi can relax and be the center of his person’s world. Someone who stays at home or works from home would be amazing! However, Kimchi could manage with a mid-day break. A forever family with previous Frenchie experience would be ideal, but not necessary.

Here are a few words from Kimchi’s foster mom, “Kimchi will make the perfect addition to a nice quiet family. He is a special dog and can be the absolute sweetest boy. He is obsessed with playing and snoozing. His greatest love in the entire world is his human. He will love you, play with you, and protect you from anything and everything including the wind. He is going to make a great forever pet for the right home.”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
