Story
IT’S MILLER TIME! What could go better with the playoffs, than a Miller in your lap!
Miller came to FBRN from a commercial breeder when it looked like he had had a few too many. It turns out that Miller had meningitis, which left him with a bit of a wobble to his walk. He also has a scar on his eye from a prior injury, and can sometimes run into things if he isn’t careful. Of course, he doesn’t let things like this get him down. Guinness would give him a record for being resilient. Even though his start in life was a bit sad, one look at his wiggly hiney can put a smile on everyone’s face. Because of Miller’s unsteadiness, he is not a silver bullet. But he doesn’t let it sway him and still loves to join in the party. More and more, he is getting comfortable with people and wants to be their best bud. Wiser a pup you may find, but not a sweeter one. Snuggling is his favorite thing (besides snacks). He loves to be with other dogs and doesn’t mind hanging out with the cats, either.
Let’s not beat around the bush, Miller’s perfect family will need to be able to continue his medication for GERD (reflux), his cough, and his neurologic issues. They will also need to be sure he isn’t allowed to jump on/off furniture or go up and down stairs on his own – we don’t want Miller to be a rolling rock. Miller will also need some extra attention for frequent potty breaks, so he would do best with a family that often has someone at home.
Here is what Miller’s foster mom says about him, “Miller is such a sweet boy. He does have the neuro issues and cough, but they don’t hinder his quality of life currently and he doesn’t even know he has problems! He will sleep on his bed or snuggled with you all day. He loves treats and food as well as other dogs.”
Are you ready for the High Life? Do you want to have Miller time at the end of every day? Well, a dog like Miller only comes around once in a Blue Moon! Get your application in now. And, make sure you have fat tires or a flight to get you to Pennsylvania because Miller cannot be shipped.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
