“Pancake is the absolute sweetest little girl. She’s calm, kind, and just so so sweet. We love to give her cuddles. It seems she had a rough time with getting her medical needs met at her original home. She is such a dream in receiving medical treatment even when she must be uncomfortable due to her allergies. She really deserves the most loving, caring forever home that will spoil her with tons of love and cuddles; while making sure her medical needs are met. The daily management of these medical issues has been reasonable now that the issues have been addressed.”

Story
Sweet Pancake has chronic allergies that have caused severe ear infections that require ongoing treatment. She might have hearing impairment due to these infections, though she can clearly hear the sound of kibble and water being poured. Don’t forget that treat bag! She clearly knows that sound as well. Pancake also had crystals in her urine when she first arrived, and she would leak a bit when she was sleeping. Great news! This hasn’t happened in quite some time. The treatments and supplements she has received while in foster care have helped considerably, and her forever family should be willing to continue providing her daily supplements.
We’re happy to report that Pancake gets on well with the other dogs at her foster home. She was surrendered with her fur-sister, but after a scuffle, the decision was made to split up the pair. She’s done well with two similarly sized male dogs and a larger boxer and Staffordshire terrier. Pancake does does well with children; her previous home had smaller children that she got on fine with. Because she hasn’t been exposed to cats in her foster home, for the safety of our feline friends, we must say no to cats in Pancake’s forever home.
If you are in the market for a laid back, clam, and low energy girl; then Pancake is for you! She loves to cuddle and get her pets in. Back scratches are another favorite. She’s an equal opportunity cuddler and will cuddle with the resident dog in her foster home. Pancake is very food motivated and gets excited for mealtime. She is happy to wear the fashions that you might be willing to dress her in and does well in receiving medications and routine cleanings.
Pancake is a mostly quiet girl, except when it comes to snoring. She will bark and run to the door if you happen to have visitors, but otherwise she’s not much of a barker. She enjoys walks and will occasionally play with a bone, balls, or other toys. Pancake has vacuum cleaner tendencies and will look for things to put in her mouth or eat. She should be monitored for this, along with her water obsession. She will try to drink any rainwater she comes across and if her water bowl is left down she will try to steal it all!
Pancake needs a forever family who is committed to keeping up with her medical needs. With the treatment she has had while in foster care, she is doing so much better! She also needs a home where she will get lots of love and cuddles. A home where she will get regular attention, and have someone willing to keep up with her schedule and care needs. Having another low key fur sibling around would be amazing for Pancake. She could adjust to and love the office dog life, as long as there were not things on the office floor and her water was restricted.
Pancake’s foster mom had this to say about her: “Pancake is the absolute sweetest little girl.
If you think that you have the perfect home to shower Pancake with love, cuddles, outfits, and making sure her medical issues remain managed; then all you need to do is apply for her. After that you should be ready to swoop in and pick up Pancake, should you be selected as her forever home.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
