“Peepers is one handsome guy. We were told he had SARDS and this is what caused him to lose sight in his one eye. Then he sustained an injury to that eye and it was removed. We were also told he was blind, but we believe he is able to see because he navigated his way through our house and yard without ever running into anything. Nothing holds this guy back, he is a very confident and friendly guy. We do feel he would do best as an only dog. He has a bit of a “macho” image he wants to uphold. Our wish for him is to find someone who will be his BFF for the rest of his life. He makes the perfect companion for any adventure you might want to take on.”

Story
Jeepers, creepers! Sweetie-pie Peepers is ready to find his forever home! If you are looking for a sweet cuddle bug to be your one and only dog, keep reading because Peepers could be the one for you.
Peepers loves all people and wants to be near his favorite person as much as possible. He enjoys going on walks in the neighborhood, playing with his toys, and snuggling on the couch. A perfect day for Peepers starts with a morning walk and continues with cuddle time on the couch with you while you have your morning coffee. As long as he gets some potty break walks, during the rest of the day he is happy just being next to his people.
This sweetie pie is good on the leash and knows basic commands. Peepers is missing one eye and can startle easily. For this reason, Peepers should be the only pet in his new home. It is important that no one sneak up on him on his blind side and startle him. He has also been known to resource guard his toys so he can not live in a home with young children. Peepers is crate trained and has been left alone in his crate for around two hours at a time while in foster care.
The perfect home for Peepers will be one where he is the only dog. He can live in a home or an apartment and does not require a yard as long as he is taken out on regular walks to go potty. He will signal by going to the door when he needs to be let outside. Peepers certainly loves to be around his people all day, if his new family works outside of the home, he will be fine as long as someone comes by to give him a midday potty break. Peepers is a great dog to bring with you to the office because he loves attention!
Peepers’ foster mom has this to share about him, “Peepers is one handsome guy.
If you would like to adopt Peepers, please submit an application and tell us about yourself and your family. Then get ready to travel! Peepers is too large to fly on a plane, but does really well on car rides. His new family should be ready for a road trip to sunny California!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Peepers
Peepers had one eye removed before his surrender to FBRN, and the remaining eye has limited visibility.
Peepers is a resource guarder so must never be around small children and remain an only dog. He must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present.
Peepers had a benign mass removed from his back in December 2022.
