Story
Are you in the market for a perfect gentleman to cuddle with and binge all your favorite shows? If you are, Rascal is your man! This boy is estimated to be between seven and ten years old and arrived in FBRN care from a commercial breeding facility.
Rascal is looking for a home where he can finally be a dog! He’s fairly low energy and loves short walks. He doesn’t mind playing with toys from time to time, but he really loves chewing on bones. Rascal is a good boy who doesn’t mind sharing his toys with others! His two favorite activities are napping and cuddling.
It isn’t known if Rascal likes cats, so for the safety of our feline friends, we must say no to forever homes with cats. However, Rascal likes other dogs and will play with them as long as his energy will allow. He also does well with children, but they should be older due to Rascal’s size, and his cuddle bug tendencies!
Rascal is looking for any type of home, whether in the city, country. An apartment is fine since he’s a low energy guy. All he asks is that someone be able to let him out midday for a potty break. Rascal would LOVE a home where someone stays home all day, or has a work-from-home job where they can cuddle him while they work. If you’re a laid back family and you would like a companion for short walks, Rascal would love that too. This handsome boy just needs a chill environment to make his own.
While Rascal is crate trained, his housebreaking is still a bit of a work in progress. He has no problem overnight; and during the day, he will ring a bell or stand by the door to let you know he wants to go out. However, he’s been having accidents while his foster family has been at work. He’s an older guy, and definitely needs a midday break to prevent any indoor potty accidents. Rascal would be a good fit for a first time Frenchie owner, as he is healthy and easy going.
His foster mom had this to say about him: “Rascal is such a great dog. He is so easygoing and calm. He is incredibly sweet and loving. He is the perfect gentleman. He has spent so much of his life at the commercial breeding facility, that it’s time for him to get lots of lovin’. He does great at the vet and loves to meet new people. He is very social. He gets along with other dogs and is crate trained. He would love a life of couch time and good treats.”
If you think that Rascal is the gentleman for you, then all you need to do is click on the link to apply for him! Should you be selected as his forever home, be ready to pick this sweet boy up, as he is too big to fly. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
