“Samson has a lot of love to give! He is ALL love. While we are still learning about his personality, what we have learned so far is that he can be your walking buddy or a couch potato, as long as there is physical contact between him and his human. He wants to get close, to let you know he is there, he wants to be noticed and loved. Of all the Frenchies I have fostered, he is almost too good to be true.”

Story
So, here I was doing one of my favorite things – riding in a car, tongue out, ears up, watching all the cool stuff whizzing by and listening to some great tunes. I didn’t know where I was going – I didn’t care. But I guess I should’ve. Because that’s when my life changed. Suddenly, there was a big crash and a huge bump and I had a hurt eye and was in a strange place with my two sisters. I had no idea where I was, but I knew I wanted to get out. Turns out after a high-speed collision, I ended up in a local shelter with my sisters. My previous owner decided not to come for me, so my future was full of uncertainty.
Soon, though, this really nice lady came and got me. She wasn’t my old mom or dad, but I could tell she was really nice. She took me to her house and said I could stay a little while until I found my old family or a whole new one. She let me sleep next to her dogs on soft beds and gave me good food to eat, even though I wasn’t very hungry. She took me to a doctor who helped my eye get better (love!), but then the next time I saw him, he took my manhood (did not love and I told him so – he then called me spicy. Dude, I am not a taco and what you took from me was not huevos rancheros) and gave me a nosejob.
My temporary landlord told me to write down what I wanted in a home, so here goes:
1. Soft beds to sleep in – could be with other dogs or not. I’m not picky
2. Someone who can stop the itchies. I tend to get them – I’m not sure what causes them, but my new landlord should do what they can to make it stop. Maybe some medicines or lotions or what. They can ask my current landlord what works and just keep doing it.
3. Attention and structure. I love attention from my humans and will barge my way in to get it. I know I shouldn’t, so I will need someone to remind me about my manners.
4. Quiet routine – I don’t like surprises too much. I would rather the same people come and go. No loud noises – I am a bit traumatized from the wreck. I will bark and try to protect everyone, even if there is no danger. I would be more relaxed if everything was quiet and pretty much the same.
That’s all I need. I am not too picky and will be happy just about anywhere with lots of human love and very little noise or surprises.
An excerpt from Samson’s current landlord (Foster Mom) tells us “Samson has a lot of love to give!
