“Wow, where to start with this little gem! She and her sister came to us in need of love and care. With a little bit of both, this girl has come so far! She loves children, people and being the center of attention. We are still working on a few simple commands like sit, but her recall is amazing. She listens very well. She is the sweetest girl and would love to spend the day on the sofa getting belly rubs. She is going to be missed by the family and especially my children. These two sisters are going to fill the hearts of the house in their forever home. They love one another so much. Seven is a little follower and Wednesday’s shadow. She’s like the bigger sister looking up to her little sister!”
“This sweet girl deserves the most loving home! She and her sister are a bonded pair and will stay together. They love each other to no end and Seven looks up to her sister and adores her so much. It is cute the way she will clean her sister and love on her sister all day. She also loves children so much! She is a quirky little girl, and when she sees you, she is so happy she smiles. Yes, this girl smiles. It is the cutest thing. Her eyes fill with joy when her foster people come home. She loves cats and other dogs too. She is a very submissive girl. This sweet girl came to us with heartworm and urinary crystals. She is now heartworm free! We are currently treating her for bladder stones and with the right meds and food, they are sure this will be resolved. However, she and her sister will need a special diet for life to help with the urinary crystals. These two girls are going to be missed so much, but we look forward to finding them the best forever home!”

Story of Wednesday & Seven
Prepare for cuteness squared! The famous bonded duo of Wednesday and her sister, Seven, are making their debut on the available page! This pair will definitely convince you that the best things come in twos. These adorable 5-year-old chunks arrived in FBRN care when their previous family did not have sufficient time or resources to devote to their care. It was clear from the get-go that Wednesday and Seven were the best of friends, and far be it for us to break up a sisterly bond such as theirs! They are ready to make their way into the hearts and home of their new family.
Wednesday is a natural-born leader and the more dominant of the pair. She has a history of a broken leg from a car accident, but is the more active and svelte of the two, if you can call 30 lbs of Frenchie “svelte.” Yes, Wednesday, we do. While Seven could not care less about walks, Wednesday doesn’t mind them so much and would likely enjoy a short one every day. If she is too active or starts to limp or display pain, she may need Carprofen from time to time for management of her symptoms. And like her sister, she has been diagnosed with urinary crystals and is on a special diet. These ongoing needs must be taken into consideration by their future family.
Because Wednesday is the alpha, she will not do well with another dominant dog in the household. If you do have a neutral or submissive dog, that could work for her, but a slow introduction is necessary. Like her sister, she can guard high-value bones from people and other dogs so she must always be monitored during feeding and when toys or chews are present. She loves children and adults and lives with human foster siblings ages 6, 9 and 11. If your family has little ones, for the safely of everyone, they must be old enough to know never to bother Wednesday or Seven while they are eating or chewing on bones. Wednesday and Seven live and get along with a cat, so bonus points there!
Seven has come so far while in foster care; she was treated for and conquered heartworm. Hip hip hooray! She also has a history of ear infections that should be monitored for recurrence. Even though Seven is the larger of the two by several pounds, she is Wednesday’s shadow, following her around everywhere. She is very laid back and more submissive than Wednesday. Foster mom describes her as an easy-going happy camper who loves to lay out in the yard and sunbathe. Walks aren’t her most favorite thing, but she will tolerate a short one in cooler weather. Same Seven, same.
While potty training is a work in progress, accidents in her foster home have decreased in frequency since first arriving. Seven and Wednesday’s new family should expect a period of possible regression and be patient as the pair adjusts to their new routines and environment. They are both crate trained and sleep through the night without having any accidents. However, if Seven is left in a crate with just a nice fluffy bed to keep her company, she will destuff it. One of her mottos is, “what is stuffed must eventually be unstuffed.”
Both Seven and Wednesday would acclimate to most any type of household. A fenced yard is preferred because like Seven, Wednesday loves to sunbathe. But she is also a little more active and enjoys sniffing things outdoors and occasionally running around the yard. Due to Wednesday’s urinary crystals, she must remain on the specialty diet of Hill’s C/D food. Due to Seven’s urinary crystals and bladder stones, she must remain on the specialty diet of Royal Canin Urinary SO food. If you work outside the home, a midday break is a must for these gals. Alternatively, both would love to accompany you to work and receive unending adoration, and belly rubs, from all the employees.
It hasn’t been the easiest road for Wednesday and Seven, but foster mom adores them both and says this about Wednesday, “Wow, where to start with this little gem! Foster mom has really nurtured these two and shares these thoughts on Seven, “This sweet girl deserves the most loving home! She and her sister are a bonded pair and will stay together. They love each other to no end and Seven looks up to her sister and adores her so much. It is cute the way she will clean her sister and love on her sister all day. She also loves children so much! If you find yourself smitten by Seven’s cute underbite and Wednesday’s distinguished salt-and-pepper muzzle, submit an application and plan your trip to Georgia. Both gals are too big to fly but there are no distance restrictions and Seven was born to travel so a road trip may be in your future if you are lucky enough to be chosen to be their new family. Make sure there’s enough room in the vehicle for both because these gals are bonded and will be adopted together.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
