Let’s all welcome Sika to the available page! This beautiful pied princess was surrendered by her previous owners when they realized she had medical troubles they were unprepared for. After surgery and several months in a loving foster home, Sika’s urinary incontinence is resolved and she’s ready to begin the search for her perfect forever home. Read on to see if your family is a good match!

Sika is a typical Frenchie puppy who loves to run and play! Going on car rides, chewing bones, and running in the yard with her foster fur-siblings are Sika’s favorite things to do. She also loves to snuggle and can typically be found on or near foster mom’s lap.

Sika is very happy and outgoing. She loves every person she’s ever met and plays well with the 4-year-old child in her foster home. She also gets along well with the other Frenchie and the large Cane Corso. Sika isn’t around indoor cats, but does fine with outdoor cats. We think dog savvy cats would be fine in Sika’s forever home.

A family with Frenchie experience would be great. Sika is very smart; she has a more dominant personality, and in typical Frenchie fashion, she can be very stubborn! An active family who will be sure she gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation in addition to continued training would be ideal.

Sika is crate trained and potty trained. She is no longer incontinent but she needs to potty more frequently than your average dog. Sika wouldn’t do well left alone in a crate during the day. She needs a forever home where someone is available to let her out for frequent potty breaks. A work from home person is ideal, but a family with varied schedules or a trusted dog walker could also work.

We think Sika would thrive in just about any environment. A home with a canine companion and a fenced yard where they can play outside would be ideal. Sika would also make a great office companion and would love to accompany her person to the office!

Here’s a few words from Sika’s loving foster mom, “Sika (aka “Lucy”) is a doll! She is the most loveable Frenchie I have ever had; always on my lap or at least touching me. If you are not the type of person who will kiss a dog on the lips, she is not the dog for you. Sika will get right into your face, an inch away, and stare at you until you kiss her on the lips. She will maintain this position forever and will not lick back-she just loves kisses! She is a very special girl who has gone through a lot in her short life with her ectopic ureter surgery which has been successful. No more diapers for Sika but lots of potty breaks are important for her continued success.”
