“Sora is the sweetest most special girl we have fostered. Our dogs will miss her greatly, and we will miss her lovable ways – sidling up to you and nudging your leg for petting then rolling over to get her belly rubbed, her joy of tossing her treat Kong around and getting her treats out, her playful bow when she meets new people who want to love on her-there is so much to miss. Watching her burrow and cover herself fully with a blanket at bedtime as she puts herself to bed – it’s an art. She loves car rides even if they are to the vet. She really can fit into any home or environment and would do well with kids and other dogs, but also will be fine on her own. She does not have separation anxiety, but we can tell she is so happy we are home. She deserves owners who can give her all the love she deserves (it’s not hard to love her) and owners who can prioritize no future spine injuries by making sure she does not take stairs or jump off furniture (she cannot get on anything unless she is lifted onto it so that is easy to avoid). They must be ok with a tiny bit of urinary incontinence or just use her washable diapers, she has one for every day of the week. We just want her to be the star of whatever home she ends up in.”

Story
Ready to fall head over paws in love? Meet Sora! This little starlet has officially landed on the available page, and she’s ready to dazzle her way into your heart. Sora came to FBRN when her previous family could no longer keep up with the care she requires for IVDD. But don’t let that worry you—this girl is unstoppable! She walks (with a unique little strut), plays, and lives life with a full-throttle zest that would make even the laziest couch potato jealous.
Sora is the ultimate social butterfly. Whether it’s strolling the neighborhood, basking in the sun with her foster brothers, or perfecting her bone-chewing technique, she’s up for it all. She’s also got a quirky party trick—tucking herself in at bedtime like the sophisticated queen she is. Blankets? She’s got that handled.
The ideal home for Sora? One with minimal obstacles (no stairs, please—diva’s orders!), a family who appreciates daily walks, and lots of love to give. She adores kids, dogs, and anyone willing to shower her with attention. Sora is as easygoing as they come—no separation anxiety, just pure joy when her humans return. She does have a tiny bit of urinary incontinence, but don’t worry—this fashionista rocks washable diapers like a runway model.

If you feel that you can provide the perfect home for Sora, all you need to do is fill out an application to adopt her and be ready to pick her up should you be selected!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed
information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Sora
Sora had surgery on 03.11.2025 to remove a non-cancerous mass at the base of her tail.
Sora had surgery on 09.16.2020 for herniation at T11-12 disc and 06.13.2022 for herniation of the L3-4 disc and has regained most motor function. She has mild to moderate pelvic limb weakness and must always be carried up and down stairs and must not be allowed to jump off furniture. She has some control of her bladder, but wears a diaper to help contain intermittent urine dribbling. Her 2022 MRI shows chronic disc injury at T12-13 and T13-L1.
