Sprout has pretty much been waiting his whole life for this! He is an 11-month-old chocolate hunk who has grown up in the foster system. He is very energetic and happy and just wants to throw his head back and SPROUT!

But waaait a minute. Even though it is always a good time with Sprout around, he needs to continue to work on his manners. He tends to guard what he think is his and still has a puppy bladder, so needs someone who is well-versed at potty training and making sure he gets outside to do his business. He would do best dancing in a fenced yard, so he could run out to potty quickly, when the urge strikes him. For this reason, someone who is home a lot would be better, too. He does well with other dogs, but he needs a firm hand to make sure he doesn’t try to steal the limelight (or toys…or treats…or food). He should not be in a home with young children or cats – he is just too strong. And if you leave a plastic bottle in his midst – he will take care of it in a heartbeat.

Foster mom sings a verse about Sprout that goes something like this: “Sprout is an intense, happy little boy! He needs exercise and activity, and will lay with you after he’s worn out. He’s a good little man, and is as soft as he is adorable!”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’; safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed
