“Steven has been a joy to foster, he has come so far and it has been fun to see his personality shine once he began feeling better and feeling more confident. He does so well with our resident girls, loves to snuggle with them and also play; they share toys. We will certainly miss him; he is just as sweet as they come”

Story
The adorable Steven has hit the available page. This boy is liable to break some hearts – and cameras – with how handsome he is! Steven arrived in FBRN care because his health issues were becoming too expensive for his previous owners to manage.
Nothing gets Steven down! This boy is a happy camper who loves to lie in the sun and soak up its rays. Steven is a smart, middle of the pack type of guy who mostly wants to be near his people. If you aren’t looking for a serious exercise partner; then you’re in luck because Steven does not need serious exercise. He is young and active, but content with a short stroll or walk around the block.
Steven, like anyone, has his quirks! Perhaps you aren’t a fan of the Charmin Bears or the Geico Gecko; neither is he. He can get a little belligerent when he sees them on TV. He is also no fan of the vacuum cleaner. We’re sure he just wishes that the vacuum could play tag with him; but his foster family is working with him on his mouthy play when he sees these things that excite him.
Some of Steven’s favorite things are his Nylabone and his ball. He also enjoys squeaky toys, but these should be of the durable variety. Steven likes to be near his people, take short walks, do zoomies in the yard, snuggle with his people, and take car rides. He’s really content doing whatever his person is doing! Steven should not be in a home with cats or other small animals – he doesn’t quite understand that these are friends he can’t play with. Steven is great with other dogs and will happily share his toys with them.
Steven would do best in a home with a fenced in yard with older adults or a family with older kids that are experienced with dogs. He will need someone who is home all day or most of the day to let him out so that he does not develop more stones. Steven is housebroken and crate trained; however his foster family leaves him in a room rather than in his crate when they leave the home. Steven’s forever family should live near a veterinary specialist in the event he has a setback. Steven would make a wonderful office companion for those folks who are lucky enough to take their pets to work!
His foster mom had this to say about him, “Steven has been a joy to foster, he has come so far and it has been fun to see his personality shine once he began feeling better and feeling more confident. He does so well with our resident girls, loves to snuggle with them and also play; they share toys. We will certainly miss him; he is just as sweet as they come”
If you’re looking for a dapper gentleman to hang out with and enjoy the sun’s rays, look no further than Steven. All you need to do is click on the link to adopt him and be ready to scoop him up, should you be selected to be his forever home! FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Steven
Steven is unable to break down the protein in his urine, which causes stones. He is unable to go longer than 4 hours without urinating as that will cause the development of stones.
