“Tae, or po-Tae-to as we sometimes call her, has stolen my heart. She has been one of the easiest Frenchies for me to foster. Everyone that has come across her has simply adored her…because what’s not to love?! She puts a smile on my face every day with her goofy snorts and her spunkiness. For as much energy she has to burn, she has ten times more love to give. She will always have a special place in my heart.”

Story
Get ready for the fever. Puppy fever! Ten-month-old Tae has made it to the available page and we have a feeling this little lady is going to be very popular. She was surrendered when both a newborn and a puppy proved to be too much for her previous family. So, after some valuable time in foster care, Tae is now on the hunt for her new home.
No doubt about it, Tae is all puppy! Hide your cords and hide your shoes. She is naturally curious and if left to her own devices, won’t be shy about testing all the reachable things to see if they make good chew toys. But she’s also smart and is learning that bones and toys are more appropriate play things for little puppies. She loves chasing and playing tug of war with her canine foster siblings, another Frenchie and a Chihuahua mix. She even takes direction from the resident cat! And if it couldn’t get any better, she loves kids. She can be a bit rambunctious, but has been around children as young as five and with proper instruction and supervision, she would probably get along with younger tots as well.
Tae is a snuggler and cuddler when not causing mischief. She absolutely loves people and has never met a stranger. If you sweet talk her while giving her scritches, she’ll turn herself inside out! Now that’s a sight we’d like to see. She is learning some commands and would love to continue learning with her new family. Potty training is almost there and she doesn’t have any accidents overnight, but if unsupervised inside, she will find a place to relieve herself. Foster mom has started to teach her to alert to go outside.
While Tae has a history of partial rectal prolapse with a purse-string procedure prior to her time in FBRN, she is otherwise a healthy puppy. Adopters will need to continually monitor and provide appropriate diet and care to prevent future rectal issues. If you have any previous experience with rectal prolapse in dogs, let us know in your app. While with her foster family, she is receiving a little pumpkin with her kibble and a probiotic supplement.
The world is Tae’s oyster and she would fit perfectly into many different scenarios as long as there’s lots of love. She is not a big barker so apartment living would be fine. She does love to sniff and explore so a fenced yard or area would be ideal but not required. She could go to work with you or stay at home with a midday break. She is crate trained and does fine when left alone. Her ideal family would have a canine companion for her to play with.
Tae’s foster mom wants you to know, “Tae, or po-Tae-to as we sometimes call her, has stolen my heart. She has been one of the easiest Frenchies for me to foster. Everyone that has come across her has simply adored her…because what’s not to love?! She puts a smile on my face every day with her goofy snorts and her spunkiness. If you have the time, patience, dedication and love to give this little nugget, fill out an application. Puppies are popular and we think this cream puff will hit the 20-application limit in no time. If you’re the lucky family to be chosen, plan your trip to Texas. She is small enough to fit in the cabin of a plane or you can drive but our precious Frenchies will not be shipped.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
