“She is a true Frenchie: stubborn and wants to get her way. She loves piles of blankets and pillows (like a true princess). She loves being rubbed and uses her paw to get more rubs. She is independent but does like to snuggle. She is fearless and not scared of anything. She’d make a great companion.”

Story
Q: What is more adorable than a petite 15-pound cream-colored foster Frenchie? A: a petite 15-pound cream-colored adoptable Frenchie named Tallulah! This 6.5-year-old was introduced last week and fast-tracked her way to the available page. She found herself in FBRN foster care when her former owner realized they didn’t have the time Tallulah deserved. So, if you’ve been looking for a precious pocket potato, read on but look no further.
Tallulah is the queen of her castle. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to use her looks to get it (they are very convincing). Instead of playing with toys, those are for common folk, she can be found lounging on top of soft blankets and pillows. And instead of romping around the house making a ruckus, she will likely be calmly waiting for her next belly rub.
Don’t let her adorableness fool you. Like many Frenchies, Tallulah does have some medical history. She takes a daily supplement to prevent urinary tract infections and her new family will need to continue this medication and monitor for recurrence. She also has a history of hind-leg weakness prior to coming to FBRN so her new family should be prepared to monitor and treat any possible future issues. She also has brachycephalic syndrome so needs to be walked on a harness only and avoiding choke collars or slip leashes which put pressure on her neck.
Tallulah is an alpha female and does not want to share her home with any other animals. Older children who can respect her royalty and dole out body rubs are certainly welcome. Potty training is a work in progress so a consistent routine and frequent outside potty breaks are a must. If you are allowed to take her to work, she would love all your coworkers to give her rubs and pets throughout the day. If you aren’t allowed pets at work, she may be small enough to hide at your desk (don’t actually do this but she is perfectly drawer-sized).
Foster care is so important to be able to get to know these pups and Tallulah’s foster mom wants you to know, “she is a true Frenchie: stubborn and wants to get her way. She loves piles of blankets and pillows (like a true princess). She loves being rubbed and uses her paw to get more rubs. She is independent but does like to snuggle. She is fearless and not scared of anything. She’d make a great companion.”
Tallulah is located in North Carolina and will be waiting for her fan mail (applications) to come pouring in. Her lucky new family should plan on traveling to pick her up and don’t forget the blankets.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications.
