“Toast is the most darling dog, anyone would be lucky to adopt her. She is a puppy in an adult dog’s body and is constantly discovering new joys in life! Toast is a clown and a bit of a mischief maker but is easily corrected. She is adaptable to most any situation and will thrive in a home where she is adored. Ideally, she will have another puppy pal to play with but more than anything she lives to be loved. All this little girl needs in life is cuddles and pets from you.”

Story
If you’re searching for a Velcro girl who likes to follow you around the house, cuddle on the couch, and be allowed to sleep in your bed, then look no further than Toast. This dazzling six-year-old, black-masked fawn Frenchie is sure to catch your eye! Toast came into FBRN care from a commercial breeding facility and we’re so happy to announce that she’s ready to find her forever home.
In her foster home, Toast lives peacefully with other dogs and cats. While there are no children in her foster home, we think Toast would enjoy a forever home with dog-savvy kiddos. Toast is housebroken, however since her spay and bladder stone removal surgery, her bladder strength is still recovering. Because of this, she may have an occasional accident. Toast is crate trained, but sometimes likes to cry in protest. She knows some basic commands as well.
Toast is a pretty laid back girl with some hidden puppy-like exuberance. She adores playing with toys and has also started playing with one of her foster canine siblings. She would enjoy having a playmate or two in her forever home. This girl isn’t one for walks, but rather prefers to “bowling ball” around the house with one of her toys! Are you seeking a partner in mischievous activities? If you don’t mind some paper being ripped up or a dryer sheet, Toast can provide you with that entertainment. Toast also loves to be your shadow and follow you on all your trips throughout the house. This girl is one that is eager to please.
Toast has a tendency to resource guard. It isn’t a frequent behavior, but sometimes she tries to guard her human from the other dogs in the house. Occasionally she will growl at the other dogs, while lounging with her foster mom on the couch. She also has a bit of separation anxiety, as she has been known to practice opera when her foster mom descends to the basement without her.
Toast would do great in just about any type of home and Frenchie experience is not needed. Toast is an obedient girl who stays close when outside so a fence is not required. Ideally, she would have someone who was home with her most of the day. If you work outside the home, Toast would likely need a dog-sitter to let her out mid-day. The most important things for Toast would be a person who would let her sleep in the bed and cuddle with them on the couch; she lives for these two things! Toast would also make a great office companion.
Her foster mom wanted everyone to know that, “Toast is the most darling dog, anyone would be lucky to adopt her.
If you are looking for a girl like Toast, all you need to do is fill out an application to adopt her and be ready to pick her up should you be selected as her forever home. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
