“Tobias is very loving and affectionate. He really should not go back to a situation where he is left alone several hours a day. He has been thriving with us being close and another dog to play with. He loves adventures, but is also ok just hanging out. He is pretty much a perfect dog. He does get crazy about trying to get out the door if he thinks we are leaving and he likes to jump up at grocery bags. And his snoring is epic!”

Story
Why hello there, handsome! FBRN’s resident hunk, Tobias, has made his way to the available page. (That “thunk” you just heard was from his thousands of fans simultaneously swooning.) Tobias came into FBRN after his owners had to return to their offices post-COVID, and Tobias was spending far too many hours in a crate by himself. Realizing that this was no way for a dog to live, they selflessly surrendered Tobias to FBRN, so he could spend more time with his people and less time by his lonesome.
Spending so much time by himself gave Tobias a bit of separation anxiety, but his foster mom has been hard at work boosting his confidence and teaching him that people always come back. Still, Tobias is a Velcro Frenchie through and through and would do best with a family that can be with him for the majority of the day. He would also love a friendly canine companion to keep him company when his people can’t be there.
Tobias is the perfect combination of jet-setter and homebody. He loves to go on adventures (he prefers riding in a car seat, so he can see out the window), but he’s also content to chill around the house with a bone or his favorite ball. He’s a champion snuggler and first-class cuddler. Perhaps his only fault is that he can be a little pushy with attention—not in an aggressive way, but he’s been known to shove his canine foster sibling out of the way so he can get ALL the pets. Oh, and also the snoring. Tobias’s breathing is fine, but his snoring is comparable to trucks downshifting on the interstate. Consider yourself warned.
Tobias’s only health concern is a luxating patella, which is fancy-talk for a wonky knee. More specifically, it means that the kneecap slides out of the joint when bent. Tobias had surgery for this issue about a year ago, and it’s not currently causing him any pain or mobility issues. Still, his new family should be aware that he may experience joint issues as he ages, and should be prepared to provide him with proper treatment.
Tobias’s foster mom is absolutely smitten with her handsome blue boy, and tells us, “Tobias is very loving and affectionate.
If you think your family would be the perfect landing spot for our dreamy Tobias, then fill out an application to adopt and tell us why! Just be prepared to travel—Tobias is watching the Super Bowl (and cheering for the red team) in lovely Pennsylvania, and will not be shipped.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
