Woohoo! Tristan has made his way to the available page and is on the hunt for his forever family! Tristan was surrendered to FBRN when his previous family’s circumstances changed and they could no longer afford to care for him.

Tristan is one lucky pup; he doesn’t take any regular medications, has no allergies, and has no special diet requirements. He does have a behavior issue with resource guarding and will need to be monitored when food and toys are present. A slow intro will be required for any pets in his forever home.

Some of Tristan’s favorite things are going on walks and taking sniffs of his surroundings. He also loves running around the fenced backyard and exploring. Tristan mostly sticks close to his human and he’s a great listener. Overall, he’s a very laid back and relaxed kinda guy! Like many Frenchies, Tristan is a Velcro dog; he needs to be touched and petted at all times! For those times when you need a break, he also loves Kongs with peanut butter and chewing on his bone.

Tristan is very well-behaved. At outdoor restaurants he sits patiently without begging for food! Are we sure he’s a Frenchie!? Tristan also visited the office with his foster mom, and he sat quietly all day as long as she worked. What a good boy!

While he is crate trained, Tristan does not like being left alone in his crate for too long. He is very adaptable and would do well in a home or apartment. A fenced yard or outdoor area where he can explore would be great. Ideally, his human would be home with him all day or able to take him to the office.

Tristan’s foster family has this to say, “Tristan takes to people very quickly. He likes everyone. He’s a people pleaser. He likes to snuggle. His favorite thing to do is cuddle and be next to you. He seems to have spent most of his time locked up, so he likes to be free and right next to you. He likes to sleep next to you too and sleep in your arms. He’s a good listener and a super quiet dog. He doesn’t bark or whine, he doesn’t snore. He only officially knows “sit” but he does listen when you call his name or tell him “no” or “down” or “lay down” or “get down”. He doesn’t beg for food, he just lays down by the table when you’re eating. He doesn’t run off or bark at other dogs. He’s an Olympic jumper. I have never known a sweeter, kinder, more lovable boy. He deserves the best family in the world. He just wants someone to snuggle with and love him.”

Then get ready for a road trip to Tennessee because at 29 pounds, Tristan is a bit too large to fly on commercial airlines. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
