Vito would do well in just about any environment as long as he can spend time with his people and isn’t crated all day. He is very curious and enjoys looking around and smelling each smell that crosses his path; however, he doesn’t require a lot of exercise so a fenced yard isn’t necessary. Vito is currently brushing up his resume and will need to work on his office etiquette before he can join you at the water cooler.

Story
This two-year-old boy arrived in FBRN care after he developed nipping behaviors. His previous family was unable to figure out what sparked it or how to control it; and because there are small children in their home, they made the difficult decision to surrender him.
Since arriving in his foster home, Vito has not exhibited any nipping behavior. Perhaps he wasn’t a fan of the children in his previous home. Perhaps he didn’t enjoy his canine sibling as he also lived with a larger dog in his previous home. We may never know! What we do know is that without children and other animals in the home, Vito does great!
Sweet, playful and happy, Vito loves to be with his people! Whether it’s a stroll around the block or a couch cuddle session, everywhere is a happy place for Vito as long as you’re there! Vito also loves to play with toys. If there’s a soft, squeaky toy in the area, Vito is there! This guy is really up for anything.
Overall, Vito is healthy, but he has allergies. To keep the itchies at bay, Vito gets allergy shots and takes medicated baths. He also eats a prescription diet and takes probiotics daily. His forever family should be prepared to continue this routine to keep him in tip-top shape.
Vito would do best in an adult only home and as an only pet. While it’s possible that Vito may get along with smaller dogs, due to his history, he should remain an only dog. Vito needs a person who would enjoy taking him on a few slow strolls each day! He would be okay with someone who needs to work outside the home, but he’ll need a dog-walker to stop by and let him out during the day.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
