“This boy is such a goofy, playful love bug. It has been a joy to watch his personality blossom over these past several weeks. His soulful eyes just melt your heart, and he shines when he gets attention from humans and other dogs. We want him to be with a family who sees him as an extension of their family. One that will provide structure and discipline but also play with and spoil him! He deserves the best life, full of playtime, toys, treats and naps in all the sunny spots he can find.”

Story
Wild, Wild Webster has made his way to the Available page! This creamy heartthrob came into FBRN’s care when his military family relocated overseas. Webster arrived with some skin issues and an upset tummy, but there’s been significant improvements in both his skin and gut health. He now receives daily prescription allergy medication, probiotics, plus medicated baths every 3-4 days. Now, like most Frenchies with GI issues, he still has loose stools occasionally…so Webster would like his furever family to know that they must be willing to invest in a lifetime supply of hypoallergenic pet wipes. Aside from allergies, this sweet boy is otherwise healthy!
Webster enjoys using his voice for attention, when playing with other dogs, to alert you to the doorbell or let you know that he needs to go to the bathroom…so a single-family home would likely be best for him. A fenced in yard isn’t required for Webster, but his foster parents say he would absolutely love one, because boy does he have some Guinness World Record breaking zoomies! He loves fetch, tug toys and to fling his toys around. He prefers to play with his humans, but will occasionally roll around on his back and self-play, if you’re not there to join in by pawing at him and rubbing his belly. He loves his naps but isn’t a sound sleeper…so if you move, he’ll move. While he likes to be in the same room as you, he’s not your typical “Velcro Frenchie” that needs to be on or next to you. Webster does all his business outside, but it’s possible he might mark in his new home upon arrival. A belly band might be a wise choice for the first day or two (or when visiting other homes or going on vacation).
He is a social dog and loves to be with his people, so he wouldn’t do well if he were to be left home alone M-F all day. Someone who works from home or hybrid would be ideal. For the days his family is out of the house, he would need a dog walker for a midday break. When Webster is left home alone, he is crated, but he may be fine left loose…as long as there’s nothing left out that he can get into like stuffy toys, destructible dog beds or slippers. He is also crated overnight in separate room as he was accustomed to that in his previous home, and there have been no issues with him sleeping soundly overnight.
Webster loves dogs…maybe a bit too much. He can come on a bit strong, not aggressively, but more in a “can we be best friends” type of way. His foster parents have observed that female dogs might not be the best fit for Webster unless they are larger in size and confident. Webster had a two-year-old male dog (a medium size) visiting for over two weeks and the loved having a dog to chase around and vice versa. He would likely love a confident play buddy to run around with and encourage him to walk (which is a work in progress).
Webster’s foster parents have this to say: “This boy is such a goofy, playful love bug.
