“Remi is just a sweet little pup. Her and Wylie are such a bonded pair. Someone will be lucky to get the big and little of it. She is quiet and alert unless the vacuum appears. Then she is all out to protect you from that monster. Then she sneaks up for a kiss.
“Wylie is like a small English bully. Solid. What a character he is. So easy going and lap ready. But he loves taking a romp in the yard and checking out what you are cooking in the kitchen. Always ready to play, sleep, and get belly rubs. His little mate is the boss. What a lucky person to get these two, yin and yang.”

Story
Prepare for trouble…and make it double! Bonded pair Remi and Wylie have rocketed their way onto the available page, and they only have one wish this holiday season—for Santa Paws to bring them a forever home of their very own.
This dynamic duo initially belonged to a student, who gave them to his mother when he was no longer able to keep them. But mom’s frequent work travel left her unable to give these two active pups the attention and stability they needed, so she selflessly surrendered them to FBRN. Since Remi and Wylie are BFFs, thick as thieves, attached at the hip, and every other expression you can think of for “bonded,” they will be adopted out as a pair. Much like milk and cookies, you can’t have one without the other!
Remi is 4 years old and sweet sweet sweet, although you’re not wrong if you detect a hint of mischief in her big brown eyes. She is Queen of the Zoomies and loves tearing around the yard with the resident canines, although her favorite pastime is chasing mops and vacuum cleaners. Such a helpful girl with the cleaning! One of Remi’s most endearing quirks is that she recognizes other animals on TV, and barks at them every time. She’s also a world champion cuddler, who will give you a sweet kiss on the face if you get close enough.
At 3 years old, Wylie is technically the little brother, but there’s nothing “little” about him at all! Weighing in at a whopping 42 pounds, Wylie definitely puts the “bull” in “bulldog.” He’s stubborn, dominant, an explorer, and a busybody, who probably shouldn’t be left alone in rooms with heirloom breakables. No, seriously—when left to his own devices, he’s been caught red-pawed pulling knickknacks off the side table! Wylie has a ton of energy and needs space to burn it, which is why a fenced yard is a must with these two. Wylie loves playing fetch and is a master at tag, and he’s playful with other dogs. And while he’s a bit big for a lapdog, that doesn’t stop him from trying to clamber up on to his favorite people.
Remi and Wylie were well taken care of in their previous home and are generally healthy, but they do have some issues common to Frenchies—namely, those dreaded allergies. Both dogs have limited ingredient diets and must receive medicated baths on a regular basis. Special care must be taken to clean their paws, and to monitor those big beautiful bat ears for infections.
Also important to know is that Wylie is a resource guarder, and will snap when food or toys are taken away from him. Unless it’s Remi doing the taking—he’s got nothing but respect for his big sister! Fortunately, Wylie is easily distracted, and can be directed away from the desired object so that it can be safely removed. However, for this reason, he cannot be placed in a household with young children, and he must be carefully monitored during mealtime and playtime. Wylie also gets agitated when his paws are touched, so special care must be taken when applying his foot mousse—and nail trims are something that are best left to a vet.
The ideal home for this dynamic duo is one with an active, Frenchie-savvy family who doesn’t mind the sound of excited barks and thundering paws (and the occasional collateral damage that might accompany these romps about the house). Since they have each other for company, Remi and Wylie don’t need another canine companion, but they’d also be happy to have one. Given Wylie’s dominant personality, slow introductions are a must! Both Remi and Wylie think that kids are fantastic and lots of fun, and the feeling seems to be mutual. That said, given Wylie’s size, energy level, and history of snapping, these two cannot be placed in a home with small kids. Any resident children should be older and dog savvy, and playtime must be supervised. A fenced yard is a definite yes, while cats and other small animals are a regretful no.
Remi and Wylie’s dedicated foster mom has embraced the cuddles and the chaos that these two have brought into her life, and tells us, “Remi is just a sweet little pup. Her and Wylie are such a bonded pair. Someone will be lucky to get the big and little of it. She is quiet and alert unless the vacuum appears. Then she is all out to protect you from that monster. Then she sneaks up for a kiss.

If you think that lucky person should be you, then please fill out an application to adopt and tell us why you’d be the perfect match for Remi and Wylie. Be sure to talk about any experience you have with bully breeds and resource guarding! And be prepared to travel, because this pair of sugar plums is spending Christmas in snowy Wisconsin, and will not be shipped.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
