Meet Amelio! While the classic meaning of his name includes words like “industrious,” “brave,” and “diligent,” we think a more fitting description for this laid-back guy would be “chill,” “fun,” “snoozer,” and “cuddler!”

At two years old, this easygoing gentleman found his way to FBRN after his family’s circumstances changed, and they made the difficult decision to surrender him. Now, he’s settling into his foster home and making friends—both human and canine—along the way!

Amelio is currently working on his health before he can be neutered. His initial vet visit showed elevated liver enzymes, so he’s on medication and a high-quality diet while awaiting a retest in a month. Once his numbers improve, his neuter will be rescheduled.

In the meantime, Amelio is soaking up the good life with his foster family, which includes three Boston Terriers. He enjoys playtime with his foster brother, respects the resident queen bee (a sassy Boston who isn’t afraid to set boundaries), and has fully embraced the fine art of bully stick chewing.

This handsome boy is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and hanging out with his foster family. He’s picking up basic commands—especially when treats are involved—and his signature move is an enthusiastic Lipizzan Stallion-style dance when he gets excited!
