Please welcome 17-week-old Birdie to the FBRN family. We’re all wondering how long it will take her to grow into those big, beautiful, bat ears! This sweet girl was surrendered by her previous family due to her persistent regurgitation.

Birdie spent her first 5 days with FBRN in two different animal hospitals before arriving in her foster home, after which, her brave foster mom had to make another trip to the ER vet. It’s been a whirlwind and we’re happy to report that Birdie is now on the mend. She’s eating prescription food, taking quite a few medications, and is on strict orders for sitting upright after every meal for 20 – 30 mins. An internal medicine consultation is coming soon; in the meantime, young Birdie is being super compliant and she’s been very cooperative with sitting still and upright for soooo long after her meals!

Described as a play-hard, nap-hard kind of gal, Birdie enjoys all the squeakies and bones, loves a good snuggle, and is already exploring her new digs with gusto! While potty training has just started, she is a very smart little lady who will catch on quickly.
