Wackadoo! We’ve got a little blue puppy on this side of the Pacific who is just as spunky, brave, and adorable as his namesake (for real life!) Meet Bluey!

This pint-sized pupper was surrendered by a broker due to a heart defect that was causing fluid to build up in his chest. He was whisked away to the Missouri University Veterinary Hospital, where doctors put a stent in his teeny-tiny heart. After a week’s stay in the hospital—where he was (justifiably) spoiled rotten by the staff—Bluey settled in with his foster mom to continue his recovery. Unfortunately, he experienced a setback with a bout of antibiotic resistant kennel cough. (Cheese and crackers!) Luckily, his fantastic vet team is on the job, and we’re hoping that after another round of medication, he’ll be right as rain. (Hooray!)

None of these medical issues have stopped 12-week-old Bluey from wreaking the cutest kind of havoc. He does not like to be confined in his playpen, and makes sure the entire household is aware of this with his high-pitched Frenchie screeches. If someone doesn’t come racing immediately to his rescue, then he takes matters into his own paws and does a jailbreak, usually by climbing up and over the sides. Given the choice, Bluey would spend all day tearing around the house and lovingly beating up his (very patient) Frenchie foster sister; however, his activity needs to be restricted so his ticker can heal. Fortunately, Bluey is also an expert at snuggling and snoozing, and no one is spared his sweet puppy kisses.
