About Chops
Nope, it’s not lamb, singing, or karate but a brand-new FBRN foster Frenchie named Chops! This five-and-a-half-year-old brindle beauty was surrendered by his former owners when his allergies and ear infections became too expensive to continue treating. They also realized they were not able to spend as much time with him as he deserved. Fear not, little tater tot! You’re in good hands now with FBRN foster.
Having spent much time in a crate, Chops is now working on developing more muscle tone and gaining some weight. He is loving his walks and all of the attention he is getting from his foster fam and all the neighbors! And sunbathing in the backyard is becoming one of his favorite pastimes. Chops has already had allergy testing with results pending so stay tuned. In the mean time, he is on a special diet, antibiotics for his bacterial infections, short-term prednisone for inflammation, and thrice weekly medicated baths.
We know he is starting to feel better because he is no longer hesitating to show his sassy side! Foster mom has nicknamed him FOMO (fear of missing out) because if he hears something on the other side of the house, he comes running to investigate! All of his treatments and vet visits are adding up so if you would like to donate to Chops’ care, click on the “sponsor me” link next to his photo. Follow along on his journey where he leaves his old sedentary lifestyle behind and starts living his best life as lizard-chaser extraordinaire. Thank you!
