Please welcome Gene to the FBRN family! Gene arrived from a commercial breeder and is almost 2 years old. It seems he’s spent those years without much love or comfort and he arrived in foster care very anxious and scared. It may take some time for Gene to be ready, but we know the perfect, loving forever home is out there waiting for him.

When he first arrived in his foster home, Gene wouldn’t eat. Who has ever heard of a Frenchie who doesn’t eat!?! Thankfully, that was short lived and now we know that Gene does indeed enjoy his grub. However, he does not like to be held or have his feet off the floor at all. At first, he would totally panic if he was anywhere but on the floor. Now, he is coming around and recently made a stop on the couch for a quick snuggle. Gene’s foster mom says she’s noticed a new bounce in his step, and she sees glimmers of a goofy Frenchie personality and a snuggly Velcro boy emerging.
