About Gilda
Please give a warm welcome to Gilda, a gorgeous 6-year-old brindle girl who came to FBRN following the loss of her person and the lack of extended family available to take her in and care for her.
Gilda’s foster mom tells us that her health issues are well within the Frenchie realm. She is itchy and scratchy, her ears may be infected and they are calloused from all the scratching, she’s also a little overweight and her nails need trimming. Foster mom is concerned about Gilda’s hearing. There seems to be some loss, but further evaluation is needed to ensure this isn’t the typical selective hearing that many Frenchie’s exhibit. Gilda is not spayed, but that will come after she’s had some time to get healthy and be fully vetted.
On the wonderful side of Gilda, she is super affectionate! She is with (or preferably on) her foster Mom whenever possible, including in the car on the way home. Glad there were seat belts! So far, Gilda has been very quiet. Time will tell after she meets the resident Frenchie – slow intros are currently underway – if she is really such a quiet soul.
Now that Gilda is with FBRN and in the loving care of her foster mom, her issues will be addressed, and she will be on the path to health and getting ready for her forever home. In the meantime, if you would like to sponsor this beautiful lady, please click on the link above. Gilda would appreciate the support!

Gilda, hope this helps with your recovery. Oh, and I blame selective hearing as well!
