She might not save you from snakes or rolling boulders, but we promise she’ll give you lots of fond memories. Meet Indiana!

This petite princess was surrendered because her previous family could not afford the cost of her medical care. Poor Indiana has an ectopic ureter, a congenital condition where the tube between the kidneys and bladder does not properly connect. As a result, she suffers from some urinary incontinence. But there’s good news! The condition can be fixed, and Indiana has already seen a top veterinary specialist for a pre-surgery evaluation. Plus, Indiana’s foster mom has two paralyzed Frenchies, so she doesn’t bat an eye at a little floor puddle here and there.

At just two years old, Indiana has a long life ahead of her and a lot of love to give. She is timid, but oh-so-sweet, and a bit more of her personality is revealing itself every day.

Indiana has a way to go before she’ll be available for adoption. She has her surgery and recovery, as well as some lessons in crate-training and housebreaking.
