Please welcome Katara to the FBRN family! Katara was very loved by her previous family, but they felt that she would have a better quality of life with someone who could better manage her severe allergies. We are happy to report that despite her red and itchy skin, she is a happy-go-lucky pup.

If you’re familiar with Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you know that Katara is a water bender. Well, let me tell you, Katara, the Frenchie, did some water bending in the tub on her first night in foster care. She did not enjoy it at all, but she felt better after it was done. Katara is also not a super fan of being outside. Once she has done her business, she will typically run back to the door to come inside.

Despite being named after a water bender, Katara does enjoy some fun in the sun. She also loves car rides, so she will run around the cars under the carport anticipating a lift! Potty training is a work in progress, but she learned very quickly which door leads to the outside. When in her crate, Katara sometimes gets lonely and cries, but she only sings for a minute before calming down. Katara knows a few basic commands and her foster family is working with her on leash manners.
