Please welcome Dinah back into FBRN care! This sweet girl is learning how to be a Jersey girl and settling into her foster home. It took her some time – and antianxiety meds – to really settle in. You see, Dinah has been adopted a few times before and she was understandably anxious when she found herself in yet another new home.

Dinah has some separation anxiety; and she was demonstrating some bad (guarding) behaviors when she first arrived. Her foster home has made huge strides with Dinah’s anxiety and behavioral quirks! We’re told that Dinah is VERY food motivated which really helps! Health wise, Dinah arrived with hookworms which are currently being treated. Dinah’s veterinarian also discovered elevated liver enzymes. Sweet Dinah is taking her medications like a champ and will get rechecked in a month.

After being adopted and returned twice – and considering that she’s about 10 years old – we’ve decided that Dinah will be happiest living out her days in foster care as a beloved hospice dog. Dinah just wants to sleep on the couch and get all the belly rubs – we’re so happy to give her a place to do that! We are also really proud of Dinah and the improvements she’s made and we’re happy to see her worry-free in the care of a loving foster family.
