Would you just look at this dreamy, creamy little girl? It’s Saki, and she’s making her FBRN debut!

Five-year-old Saki was surrendered due to reported aggression and guarding behaviors. Indeed, she showed up with bite marks all over her body, so it seems she was getting into some canine tussles. It’s certainly possible that Saki was the instigator, although when we asked her about it, she just titled her head and batted her lashes. In any event, after a series of slooooooooow (and ongoing) introductions to the dogs, cats, and kids in her foster home, Saki has settled in and seems to be getting along with everyone! Foster mom is impressed with how well Saki has adjusted to their lively, busy household. She’s even started attending doggie daycare, although she largely ignores other dogs in favor of human playmates.

Other than the bite wounds (which are healing quickly) and some cysts between her toes, Saki appears to be in good health. Within the next few days, she’ll be whisked off to the vet for a thorough checkup, just to make sure all is well. Then she’ll spend some more time with her foster family, so they can learn all about her likes, dislikes, and overall personality. Once we’ve got a good read on what type of home she needs, she’ll be headed to the Available Page! But please be patient–you know what they say about best things and people who wait, and we can tell already that Saki is a dog worth waiting for.
